We had an absolutely fantastic tour of Caen with our guide, Thomas. His knowledge of the city’s history was truly exceptional - he brought every monument, street, and story to life with passion and clarity. Thanks to him, we learned far more than we expected, not only about Caen’s medieval roots and its role during the Second World War, but also about the little hidden details you’d never notice without an expert by your side. What made the experience even better was Thomas’s genuine love for the city and its culture. He gave us amazing recommendations for local restaurants and cafés, including places we would never have found on our own. Every suggestion was spot-on and really enhanced our stay in Caen. Brilliant tour. Thomas was friendly, spoke a good level of English and clearly knew a lot about Caen. It was just our family on the tour and I lived in Caen years ago as a student so he adapted the tour accordingly to fit in my reminiscing. He followed up with recommendations for local bars and restaurants (at our request as wanted to try specific foods) Definitely recommend this tour for lovers of history and those wanting an introduction to the city of Caen.
It was an awesome tour with a very great guide. from 4 century till current date, from vikings to England, he cover it all. Awesome experience, recommended.
Notre guide nous a appris beaucoup de choses sur Caen. Passionné, chaleureux et sympathique nous avons passé un bon moment avec lui. Il a suivi notre rythme, comme nous avions des personnes un peu moins rapides dans notre petit groupe, et répondu à toutes nos questions. Vraiment je recommande sans hésiter!
